Classes
Clay 101
This 10-week course is designed to give the student an understanding of the various methods of creating with clay as well as operating safely in a ceramics studio. You will learn about studio equipment and its use, best practices in the studio, and, of course, clay. This course covers beginner wheel, as well as basic handbuilding techniques. Projects are suggested weekly to help you apply skills learned in each lesson and combine them. This class covers all the basic skills required for membership at EAPS, including glazing. Includes 1 25-lb bag of clay and studio access for practicing from 8am-8pm 7 days per week, excluding during other classes or events.
This class has a maximum of 6 students and is offered both daytime and evening. Email us to learn more or to be added to the waitlist for the next session!

Clay 102
A continuation of our Clay 101 class, this course continues on the foundations built in 101. A more student-driven, working class, focus will be on continuing to develop skills and exploring new techniques.

This class is 10 weeks and scheduled so that transitioning from 101 to 102 is easy. Includes 1 25-lb bag of clay and studio access for practicing from 8am-8pm 7 days per week, excluding during other classes or events.
This class will have a maximum of 6 students. Registrations are done in-studio. If you are interested but have not taken a 101 class with us, please contact us for registration.

Technique Refinement Series
This is a set of shorter, more focused classes designed for targeted skill development. Each class will run in 1-3 sessions. These classes may have skill requirements for registration. Due to these requirements, registrations for these classes is in-studio. Please contact us if you are interested!
Upcoming classes:
Throwing Bootcamp - Must be able to center and open reliably.
Trimming -Must be able to make your own forms to trim!
Altered Forms - Must be able to throw alterable forms (cylinders, bowls).
Plans are underway for classes on closed forms, irregular forms, and more!

Handbuilding-Only Classes
These classes are held on weekends and are usually 1-3 sessions in length and have a project theme. All Materials and Tools required for the associated projects will be provided. A relaxing, rewarding way to spend your afternoons! Age minimum for these classes is 13+, but minors must still be accompanied by an adult.
